Role of Data365

Being a New York-based artist, I’ve been closely monitoring the news about the invasive bug called the “Spotted Lantern Fly” and its alarming spread across the city. I’m eager to leverage your technology to track this phenomenon, starting from the hatching phase until the bug reaches full development and spreads across various areas within the city. Through this artistic endeavor, I aim to shed light on the environmental impact of such infestations and raise awareness among the public.

As a result, with the help of real-time data from Data365, it became possible to track the spread of the Lanternfly. Nim encouraged New Yorkers to post photos of the insects, add geolocation, and use the hashtag #SpottedLanternfly. He utilized the information he gathered from New Yorkers for his future investigation.
